tap @ the brewpub.
lovely brownish red colour with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has amber malts, piney and resiny hops. Geels kinda vinious. Some red apple and grapes. Highish carbonation, prickly. Dry and fairly light. Flavour is quite elegant. Sweet resiny hops and caramel in the centre, lots of fruity goodness around it. Strawberries, grapes, lots of red apple. Only mild viniousness. Bitterness is firm, but not overwhelming. Light herbal finish with some hemp character to it. Good.

On tap. Beautiful clear nutty brown with a small beige head. Thick nutty aroma with plenty of burned caramel. Quite full-bodied, sweet caramel and nutty notes with a distinct edge of smoke and ashes. Distinctly bitter finish but doesn’t really feel 140 IBU though. More like an Imperial Brown Ale actually. 210511
