UPDATED: JUN 2, 2009 From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a little white and slight crispy head. Sweet caramel aroma with orange fruity and spiced notes. Soft mouthfeel. Distinct hoppyness with a whiff of spices. The spices take over gradually into the finish. There is a soft malt sweetness beneath. Ends with bit of yeast. Quite nice and power/flavourfull triple.

Ungstrup (29334) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 18, 2007
Draft. A hazy dark golden beer with a thin dense light tan head. The aroma is sweet with powerful notes of fruit - primarily peaches, yeast, and spices - primarily coriander, as well as lighter notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of fruit - both peaches and apples, combined with spicy notes of cinnamon and coriander, as well as lighter notes of yeast. The alcohol leaves a slight burn in the cheeks and on the tongue.

Earlier Rating: 10/6/2007 Total Score: 3.3
Draught at the brewpub. Cloudy orange coloured with a small off white head. Fruity aroma of yeast and spices with notes of hops. Yeasty and spicy flavour of fruits, citrus, hops and pine needles. Dry hoppy finish. Lacks some fruit esters, which makes the beer unbalanced.

Draught@brewpub. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mainly fruity and nectary. Flavour is fruity, nectary and has some notes of spices. As it warms up the alcohol becomes more evident.

Hazy blond color. A quite simplistic strong Ale, with some orange fruitness and spicy character, even a hint of manure; but , tasted twice within a week, it shows some infection spreading into it…

On tap at the brewpub. Almost clear, golden body with a white head. A bit weak aroma, with fruit, some spices, banana and some citrus. Sweet flavor with yeast-notes, pale malt, a little spicyness and a good fruityness. Medium body with a nice carbonation level. Fruity, slighlty spiced finish. The nose is too weak, but it is a nice, relaxing beer. (071006)
