Brewpub Københavns answer to a bavarian wheatbeer is an unfiltered Hefeweissen, which due to high content of proteins in the wheatmalt appears very unclear in the glass. VesterWeisse has distinct notes of cloves and banana, has a dense head and is a refreshing thirstquencher on a warm summerday in the courtyard. This is a good beer for lunch or lighter dinner.

Beer with clear notes of clove and banana. Lovely mellow flavor and long aftertaste of citrus and orange peel. It was enjoyed at Brewpub for a starter with hops smoked salmon with smoked cheese cream, and I can hardly point to a type of beer that could be better than this. Unfortunately, the carbonated is a little low, and there are many better Bavarian hefeweis.

Tap at BrewPub København. Poured a cloudy straw colour with a round white head. The aroma is acidic citrus, yeast, grain, banana. The flavour is acid citrus with a crisp watery yeast citrus palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle at Barley Wine, Copenhagen, 15.1.15 Somewhat clear gold with a thin head. Candy and yeast aroma, yeasty bitterness with a little soap in the mouth. Light body, smooth, yeasty bubblegum finish.

Tap at the brewpub. this one was disappointing Pale yellow with small white head. Aroma weak some wheat notes. Taste watery with some wheat notes, but a very disappointing hefeweissen. Luckily the rest of the tasting was much more interesting.

09-SEP-2014, draft @the brewpub. Hazy orange with low White head. Aroma is banana, straw, yeast, peach, spice. Taste the same and a Little hops too. Watery with lively carbonation. Could use a Little body to balance that soda-carbonation.

Tap @ brewpub. Pale yellow hazy (like a hefe). Estery banana, wheatyness. Light refreshing body, soft estery. This is pretty decent. I like the freshness of the brew, and it’s definitely in the right flavour profile. A bit dull though, but probably my favourite of all the brews here.
