Cask, gravity, at St Neots BF ’09 (’Booze on the Ouse’). Dark reddish brown. Delightful leathery malt aroma. Very sweet sugary taste tending to cloy. Slight dryness which seemed to intensify. Wasn’t sure about this one at first, but it grew on me.

Cask RA. Dark brown colour. A well balanced beer. Dark fruits and caramel in the taste. Also some maltiness. A beer I liked.

Cask, Melton Fest 07. Deep red brown with no head. Aromas are weetabix and chocolate malts. Quite vinous with slightly earthy, smoky notes. Flavours are malty and rich and quite dry. Vinous fruiit with plain chocolate bitterness. Good.

Cask Mill, Cambridge. Disappointing vinegary mess. I think the pub must take the blame for this. Will re-rate when I find a better one

Cask (gravity dispense) at White Cliffs Beer Festival, February 2006. Reddish copper colour. Quite dry. Flavours are mainly dry malt with some caramel, berry fruit and a smattering of earthy hop. Quite nice balance. Solid stuff but nothing really distinctive here.

Cask @ Dover Festival 06: Ruby amber with a lovely tan head. Sweet toffee. A little thin though. Balanced. Nice caramel notes in the nose.

Cask @ 13th White Cliffs BF, Dover. 3 February, 2006
Medium dark. Dusty aroma. Yellow fruits. Dry, surprisingly thin body, with a bigger aftertaste of darker fruits.
