Dark brown. Oxidized malts and toffee. Light toffee, with a touch of roastiness. Moderately sweet, fairly quick finish.

Sasaparella, root beer like, watery, definite smoke. Brown appearance with lace. Very creamy, nuttiness. Malheursment, good ideas that didn’t work out all together. To paraphrase Oakes article of a few weeks back, they thinkthey need to have a brown because some will ask for it.

Dark colour with a nice white head. Very weak flavour leaving much to be desired. The comparison to an extra light version of Newcastle hits the nail on the head. Will avoid this in the future.

On tap, Oliver Square location. Poured light brown/dark copper. Good malt aroma. Light bodied with some malt sweetness and a trace of nuttines. Like an extra light version of Newcastle.

Very nice presentation. Full pint with half inch of dark caramel foam on a dark brown liquid. THick mouth feel. Light but long lasting hop carries past the finish. Nice roastiness in the start reminds me of a dry stout.
