Sampled at BeerFest 2008 and looking forward to finding it at the bar. Dark beer. Malty aroma with just a trace of coconut. Each sip the coconut flavour surprises. A tasty balance of malt and coconut.

Dark color. Medium dry Porter, some caramel and roasted malt, no coconut (luckily). Simple but not bad.

Jun 15, 2008 Draught sample at EFoB ’08. Dark brown pour, Nutty and roasty aroma, trace of dark chocolate. Roasty dark malt taste up front with nutty accents. Dry finish with mild coconut notes.

Apr 27, 2008 Calgary Beerfest 2008. This was the highlight of the night for me. Having very recently had the Maui Brewing Company beer by the same name, I was interested in how this would stand up since I really liked the Maui porter. This was excellent! Rich chocolate and roasted coconut nose, some roast and vanilla in there too. Sweet but balanced, smooth velvety mouthfeel, long dry finish. Delicious!
