COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A golden ale with a hint of malt sweetness from caramalt. Passionfruit and grapefruit aromas on the nose. First taste gives a complex zesty hop palate leading on to a fresh herby finish.

Cask @ Fat Cat. Golden amber, good head. Grain citrus hop aroma. Soapy citrus hop flavour. Bitter sweet afrertaste. A bit unbalanced. Expected better.

Bottle from Real Ale Store Newark. Pale golden colour with a foamy white head. Slight citrus and hoppy aroma, with a mid sweet taste. Decent and enjoyable.

Cask at the Bootlegger, High Wycombe. Vivid gold with a small white head. Lots of citrus with a hint of tropical fruit and a crisp, bitter finish. Clear US influence. Good golden ale this.

Tasted this in Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) on 27th January 2015. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale straw in colour with a thin white head. Dry dusty citrus note to the hoppy aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt delivers a fruity citrus flavour of grapefruit full in the mouth but very little else. Dusty hop resins impart a dry bitter note in the slightly astringent aftertaste. Finish is all about the hops with a citrus peel zest coming through in the palate. A poor session Golden Ale for me.

Gravity, Hinckley BF, 13/09/13. Dusted pale gold with slight halo. Nose of clean lime and lemongrass with pungent tropical and dried curry leaf background. Excellent balanced stewed tea and lime zest hop with biscuit undercarriage. Good.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 23 Apr 2013) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grass and passion fruit. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grass, citrus, resin, tropical fruit and a generous citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight malt sweetness. Tasty and refreshing. Nice one.

Gravity at Birmingham Beer Festival 2012. Grassy, olive oil hops. Becomes more grassy down the back of the throat. Not bad. A bit too quincey for me. Foxo’s mate Paul is here now, so that’s a positive. The live music is quite bad though.

Cask at Blue Boar, Billericay. Pours a pale golden yellow with a thin but quite dense white head. There’s a lovely grassy floral lemon aroma which hints that this beer may pack more of a punch than you might at first think. Smooth and sharp on the palate, the taste is floral grapefruit with a cream soda edge and a little tropical fruit - mainly pineapple. The lip-smackingly sweet zesty aftertaste leaves a light dry lingering lemon flavour. Wonderfully refreshing, moreish and delightful.
