2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 mabel (5043) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 2, 2008
[805-20071102] Tap @ Brewsters (Calgary, AB). Grainy alcoholic yeast aroma. Clear, brown orange body with a quick foamy white head. Mild grainy yeast flavour has a long floral aftertaste. Medium body. Not bad but for the floral.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 jercraigs (6477) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2007
Draft at the brewpub. Golden yellow body nearly headless in a sampler with with a thin film of a white head. Lightly alcoholic aroma of sweet malt, with a note of honey. Bit of a yeasty house character. Muted cider notes. Sweet flavour, lightly fruity aroma, and more hints of not quite cider. Average palate. Meh. 6+/3/5/3/10-11
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 TipsyMcStager (1114) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - JUL 12, 2007
I’m with Duffman on this one. Quite hoppy for a pale lager. Interesting malt profile with a suprisingly crisp finish. Enjoyable to sit back and quaff.
1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 LadyCooper (100) - Halifax, Nova Scotia, CANADA - MAR 13, 2007
Ack. Smells astringent, tastes weak with hints of nail polish, cinnamon, and Chinese food. Wierd and gross. Maybe I just got a bad batch.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Tyler*Durden (72) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 21, 2007
A brown-coppor colour, this lager has caramel accents and definite taste of malts. A passable lager, but nothing to write home about.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 DuffMan (5192) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 15, 2007
This does not fit into the pale lager profile at all. It pours a hazy tea-brown colour with a thick creamy head. Caramel malt aroma dominates, with some earthy and vaguely fruity elements (at this point I’m thinking English bitter rather than pale lager). Surprising soft banana fruit flavour mixed with caramel malt. Very unusual, but very enjoyable. Enigmatic.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 gilvanblight (678) - Windsor, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 5, 2006
Dark translucent brown pour with a thick head. Looks great! Malt caramel berry scent. Thick and full of flavour, definate berry, rasberry I think. Lots of malts that make it not too sweet.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 pintbypint (1975) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 2, 2005
Deep gold colour, very little head. Grainy aroma, average malt flavour with trace hops. Fairly uninteresting mainstream pale lager.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Sammy (7035) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 21, 2005
noticeable hops. Malty aroma. Tastes ginger- ale like so can’t have more than a few ounces. Aggressive carbonation, gassed up and creamy. Copper colour. Some bitterness, but more malty. Lace. Dry aftertaste.
