I payed for this - for two glasses? Sigh.... The brewer was less than thrilled about this creation, which he obviously didn’t create. Turns out that all these Fruit Hog beers are brewed exactly the same: 1) Create Wheat Ale 2) Filter beer 3) pour in jug of flavouring. Yellow brew with a small white cap. Initially I did not smell the watermelon but after letting it sit it did show up. Sort of like cream soda with that fake watermelon aroma. It’s ok. The taste is also the same with the wheat ale showing too much, slight cream soda and more watermelon in the taste than in the aroma. Obviously since this is watermelon flavoured I was not all that interested in drinking too much. At least this version of Fruit Hog tastes like it says it would. The Fruit Hog series sucks balls.

Pint on tap at Brewsters Oliver Square location in Edmonton, AB. Color was light straw with light film of head around edge of glass. Aroma was watermelon and cereal. Taste was lightly sweet with a slight hop finish. Light body and carbonation.

Tap. Yellow. Lighter body than the grapefruit. Watermelon is not a strong flavour but there is some light fruitiness that is nice nut a strong vanilla edge.

Watermelon beer?!?!?! Really? Ok………gold body white cap the end. Taste like sweet cream soda, smell is the same. Weak water melon flavor, massive toasted wheat that has been sugared. Overly sweet. Gully sucks because he just made the brewmaster realize how much his job sucks and he’ll most likely hang himself tonight. Very ungood beer, you can drink it but why?
