3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint on tap at Oliver Square location. Poured an amber color with some brown. Head was white and creamy with some lacing left behind. Aromas of caramel and light chocolate. Taste is malty sweet with some mild hops in the finish. Pleasing on the palate with mild carbonation and a decent body. Overall, one of my favorite pours at Brewsters.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Brewsters Castledowns.. 5%. Clear copper/amber colour, nice white foam. Aroma is sweet, caramel. Taste is malty, rather inoffensive, but bland. Would support this over the Rickards behemoth, however, as it is locally produced.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Brewsters Alberta. Pours clear copper with a medium, frothy and creamy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is toast, nutty, and caramel malt, dates and figs with earthy hops. Flavor is malty with earthy hops, dark fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Nice ruby red colour. Typical ale aroma, sweet with some malts. Decent flavour, some bitterness but overall quite tasty.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a clear red with a small white ring and very little lace. Aroma is a big blast of caramel sweetness and nuts. Taste is bread, nuts, sweet malts & a present bitterness on the finish. This beer used to be better but I think they changed the recipe and made it lighter bodied. Used to be far more malts in the body.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tried this many times over the years but finally decided to buy a bottle on 08/22/2012 in Calgary, AB and sit down for a rating :) Colour: More brown than red with low but firm white head. Nose: Malt-hop combination produces a mixed sweet/citrus fruit combination that shows both cherries and grapefruit. More sweetness comes out with swirling and resembles a Mars bar. Taste: Medium-light sweet, medium-light bitter, medium sour. Well the sweet nose does not punish this one, thankfully. There is sour cherry in the background through the entire palate. Also shows roasted (almost burnt) nut, and nice hop presence late.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Reddish copper colour with a faintly sweet aroma, though there was a strange nuttiness here which I found in many of Brewsters beers. Nothing spectacular.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Dark amber body with a small off white head. Very mild sweet malt aroma, caramel and toffee. Taste more sweet malts and caramel. Could use a touch more bitterness for my tastes.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Reddish brown pour with medium off white head. Malty aroma and not much more. Taste was an initial pleasant malt bomb but quickly turned to a watery aftertaste mess. Served way to cold but did not improve as it warmed.
