An enjoyable and solid porter. Pours a dark brown, dense tan head. Roasted coffee and a touch of sweetness. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel. Hopefully a bellweather of high quality seasonals at Brewster’s.

Pint on tap at Oliver Square location in Edmonton. Poured almost black with some red highlights. A fine off-white head and nice lacing. Aromas of roasted malts and coffee. Taste is malty sweetness and some coffee, which is not too overpowering. A nice body and lower carbonation. Overall, this is one nice porter.

Thanks to Rob for a complimentary pint. Thick creamy head. Very dark with mahogany highlights in the narrower part of the glass. Light dry roasted aroma. Very good sessional coffee flavoured dry roasted porter. I am very excited about Gunter’s special beers. Brewsters has moved up a couple of notches as a destination for a pint or two.
