Roast malt aromas lead onto rich hop flavours which then unfold to reveal a hint of dark chocolate on the finish.

Bottle. Dark brown with a beige foam. Aromas are roast malts with caramel and liquorice. Earthy with burnt dark treacle. Molasses with lemon. Flavours are earthy and herbal with sweet molasses. Coffee and gritty cocoa with bitter grapefruit and light pine. Dry woodiness on the finish. Decent.

0.33 l bottle, thanks oh6gdx! Dark brown color. Leathery and raisiny aroma. Flavors of milk chocolate and some acrid roasty notes. Fairly raisiny, tastes aged although BB is five months ahead.

330ml bottle - Beers of Europe. Poured a clear, deep mahogany with a small, fading & cvreamy-bubbly beige head. Sweet, rich raisin & rum notes, hints of chocolate with background vanilla tones. Good roasty, lightly ashy, choccy, malty dy bitterness supplemented by a sweeter dark, dried fruit note on the tongue. Satisfying crispness, dry finish, mediumish body, medium carbonation with a lingering dry, roasty, ashy finish.

Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light light heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110729]

Bottled@The Chriso Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011 "Donkey Dork Lord Edition". Deep brown amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma is roasted malts, some chocolate, mild toasted notes as well as some mild vanilla and ashes as well. Flavour is being a smooth balance of the same. Also has some rather sweet riped fruity/sweet berrylike notes.

Bottle at ChrisO’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Pours clear, ruby-brown with a white, bubbly head. Pleasant roasted malt nose. Medium sweet flavor, bit of roast, some burnt sugar and light peat. Medium in body with fine carbonation. Light dry finish, roasted malts and some earth. Nice.
