2.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 maeib (6630) - Wootton, Northampton, - OCT 4, 2004
Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - St Albans Beer Festival. Very nice aroma of thick juicy hops. The colour is too hazy. The taste is uninteresting with no real sign of the hops promised by the aroma.

Golden/reddy brew with an overriding character of treacle toffee. Some maltiness in the finish but mostly toffee! (Cask at Melton Mowbray beer festival)

Cask@St Albans BF. Some bitter acidity, some aromatic lemony hops, grainy. A bit on the thin side, but drinkable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 10, 2004
I was a bit miffed that I somehow missed out on this in the confusion of a mob-handed tasting, until I realised after I got home that I had already tried it. It’s a golden, very floral, tangy, hoppy beer. Succulent and fruity, with a developing bitterness and a crisp, slightly sharp finish. Very refreshing. cask (gravity dispense), St Albans beer festival 2004.

Golden bitter, slightly hazy. A good solid bitter with good length on the palate.
