A premium bitter with a golden appearance. A zesty hop flavour from Mount Hood hops combine with a touch of malt sweetness to give a rich full bodied beer.

tombyars (1582) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - SEP 14, 2016
Tasted this in the Salt Cot, Saltcoats (JDW) on the 27th August 2016. Cask, handpump dispense. Opaque straw in colour with a thin white head. Thin malty aroma with light elderflower notes. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a light biscuit base with tart sweet tangerine fruit. Floral dusty hops gives a clean citrus bite to the bitter aftertaste. Finish is balanced with malt just edging it with dry elements of citrus peel coming through in the mouth. A standard Golden Ale.

Cask HP at The Crosse Keys Bishopsgate as Brewsters Rutterkin. Golden orange, still, clear, foamy off white head. Aroma is mango and soft cheese, soap. Body is smooth, low carbonation. Taste is light malt sugars, tangerine, straw, faintly tangy with a soft resinous astringency. Overall, it’s an ok golden ale.

Złota barwa, piwo jest klarowne. Piana delikatna, biała, drobniutka. Bardzo subtelny lacing. W aromacie i smaku konkretny cytrus, lekkie słodowe posmaki. Goryczka długa, cytrusowa, posmak skórek cytrusów pozostaje na języku przez długi czas. Delikatne ciało, umiarkowana pijalność.

Tap at the Pump House, Shirley, Solihull. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy white head and loads of clingy lace. The aroma is grassy hop, some yeast and citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter with a dry pepper spice, citrus, grassy hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
