COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To kick off the year it really feels like Winter Draws On. Great name but very little to do with winter when you think this fantastic beer has been liberally hopped with gorgeous sun soaked New Zealand aroma lupulins. Richard casked it up on New Years Eve and we think it is great. First the malt grist, pale pilsner malt with its flavour just accented with a splash of crystal and the lightest touch of chocolate malt to tone the colour down. There is a real depth and dimension to the malt side. For hop grist, Motueka and Nelson Sauvin were continuously added all the way through the boil to capture some of the different elements of the precious hop oil fractions. The lemoney lime citrus from the Motueka melds with the sweet malt to hint of grapefruit bitterness. The Nelson overlays with a winey passionfruit and fresh mango. The aroma is really rich tropical fruits and it carries through into the flavour which balances really nicely as the subtle touch of roast malts play on the citrus hops to give the beers its fruity characteristic.

Cask cellar run. Thanks Mario at The Rake. Brown gold clear colour. Lasting near white head. Tasty enough bitter. Little bit of sweaty sox. Quite strong on the hops on finish.

Cask Conditioned handpump Lamplighter Northampton. an amber coloured beer with a whitish head and lacing. Really good hoppy flavours throughout this beer with nice sharp bitterness. The malts have balancing sweetness making it a really good drink. Good citrus fruity notes. Very tasty.
