Draft… Murky, burnt-caramel ale with a small, creamy, white head. Fantastic retention. The fruity, lightly spicy bouquet is a medley of pineapple, apricot, papaya, mango and light clove with a subtle undercurrent of musky, leathery hops. Full-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor tilts toward the bitter side of balance and is very fruity – apricot and pineapple really stand out. Bittersweet, drying finish… then the bitterness lingers a good while.
