On draft at Brewzzi. To call this a stout is a definite misnomer; it is a schwarzbier if I have ever had one. Pours a cocoa-brown-amber with a white head. Nose is cocoa, slight roasted malts, earth, and some caramel. Flavor is similar with prevalent earthy cocoa throughout. Medium in body with lingering earthy cocoa in the finish.

Tap. Moderate toasted grain for the malt, dried grass for the hops and a hint of burnt in the background. Head is average size, frothy, slightly off-white with fair lacing and is mostly lasting. Flavor starts very slightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic. Palate is light to medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. Some noteworthy aromas but pretty flat otherwise, pretty much what I’d expect from Brewzzi.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 theisti (2441) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - JUN 9, 2010
Part of the Brewzzi Sampler tray - all pours were in small flute tasting glasses, approx 6 oz (healthy pours). Pour is clear ruby light brown with an off white head. Aroma is minimal light fruit sweet and malt. Very reserved nose. Taste is roast malt, along with the cracker and biscuit malt. Finish picks up sweetness, and ends relatively clean. Palatee is thin to medium bodied, slightly below average carbonation, ad a lingering sweet roast aftertaste. Somewhat interesting beer.

Draft at the West Palm location.Clear coppery brown witha creamy tan head. Aroam iwth lots of caramel and a little spicy hops. Smooth, medium body, lightly carbonated, pleasant enough palate. Burnt caramel flavor with a dry, and lsightly washed out finish. Not bad, went well with the pizza that I had.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - NOV 1, 2008
Poured up on tap at the Boca brewpub clear amber with wafer thin off white head. The aroma comes across as somewhat bready first with some malt roastiness and faint hops to follow up. The taste is roasty to nutty malts up front with a bit of bread to follow. And behind those notes are malt sweetness and some pine hops. It ends with tasty roasted malts bringing it to the dryer side for the finish.
