Retorp (2154), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 18, 2008 The aroma holds more coffee than chocolate, plus roasted sweet accented malts and a hint of sweet cream. The body is mostly black with a lasting thumb thick tan head. Mild first sip, decent roast, coffee, chocolate profile. A bit of welcome vanilla and heavy cream sweetness from the aroma. Not bad. Very quaffable. Ibrew2or3 (1648), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Mar 9, 2008 Pours deep brown with an amber hue that has a kind of a frothy mildly firm mocha colored head. Not opaque enough for a stout. The aroma is rich and inviting with burnt notes, malty sweet notes, roasty notes, mild coffee and some velvety chocolate. The taste is roasty malts leaning toward burnt malts and yet balanced by mild some drying and tart malt astringency. About midway it is mostly roasty, burnt and coffee heading into the finish.
