COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Crocco is produced with malts that make a good body, caramel notes and the characteristic amber color. Moderate bitterness, from English and Bohemian hops. It’s a meditation beer, as a nightcap or to match main courses (primi e secondi piatti) with a bold flavor.

Bottle courtesy of Enoteca Decanter, Milan
Hazy dark amber color; compact big head. There is some brown sediment in the bottle neck (though the bottle has been standing vertically for months), and a bad smell of cheese propagates through the room; from the glass, instead, just a light caramel aroma. It has a correct body strength, with some medium sweet caramel flavor, very light chocolate; correct bitterness. Simple, but at least flawless.

Hazy amber with a medium off white head. Sourish aroma with hoppy and malty notes. Sourish flavour with grassy hops and toasted malt. Finished dry and sourish.

Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of phenol, malt, and lactobasillus. The flavor is sweet and acidic with notes of straw and malt, leading to a dry and sour finish.

Bottle 50 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours a cloudy and opaque amber golden with an off-white head. Tart, fruity aroma. Medium body, tart fruit - lactic acid. Tart all though to the finish. Clearly infected. 050610

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy boysenberries, tar fruity - berry, light to moderate malty, caramel. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate acidic with a long duration, sour milk, fresh, berries. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. IMO it worked out okay but maybe not as a belgium ale ! [20100605]
