3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 cyrenaica (799) - Milton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 7, 2007
UPDATED: AUG 18, 2007 I loved this beer, I really did. I was in University when I first tried this. I was a slave to the mainstream breweries when this happened in my glass.
To me, the aroma is fruity in nature, which made me skeptical from the beginning. Being colour blind, I will not comment on colour aside from saying it isn’t dark, nor is it light. As for the flavour, I love it. It has a full flavour not found in a lot of mainstream beer.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Cartoonkhaki (1177) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2003
A good brick beer. It is one of my favorit beers it reminds me of when I was at the university of Waterloo back in the day. It does have a bitter taste and lacks some of the more robust flavours of the other beers brewed by Brick.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 tupalev (2730) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - APR 17, 2006
Bottle at the Rhino. Medium yellow, very small white head, a few streaming bubbles. Sweet malt, grainy aroma - not terribly pleasant. Sweet malt taste but incredibly light body. Weird grainy taste. Not very good - very thin - but there is some flavour.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 pootzboy (1309) - Hawgville, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 29, 2004
UPDATED: SEP 16, 2004 Poured a true amber color with a smallish head that reduces to a ring quite quickly... medium carbonation..large AND small bubbles evident (???) Aromas all you get is, pronounced malty sweet smells and barely detectable hop grass tones. Stars bland then the cloying malt departure where the hops sit in the background followed by a fairly fast but bland finish...pretty macro brew standardization here. I think this is made to sell to the university types that want to think they are guzzling craft beer but need macro traits in the drink because they confuse brew character with skunkiness.. This isn’t a bad beer just another one with no character of it’s own.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20 Crockett (925) - Steelback County, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 10, 2004
Pours deep gold with a medium white head.. Aroma is suprisingly hoppy but I was not alarmed when it turned out a bit skunky. Like a lot of Brick brews, this one is a bit hoppier than you might have expected. No real character. Tastes more or less the same as any other of the species.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 frylock (1081) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAR 22, 2004
Fruity malt and grain aroma. Light amber/orange color. Lightly malty and sweet, pretty bland stuff.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Metalchopz (1427) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2012
Originally rated May 2005. This one comes in clear bottles. It pours a light golden-amber colour with a foamy head that dissipates quickly. The carbonation is full of big bubbles, looking like ginger ale. The aroma is slightly metallic with malt and some fruits. There is a mild bitterness in the taste again, a bit of fruit. The finish is clean and dry. Nothing offensive on this one, just not a great amber.
2.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20 DerWeg (1271) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 1, 2006
Smells like a decent, tame Micro somethingorother. Drinking it makes my palate scrapingly dry, like some beers I drank in the eighties. I’m down with the mentions of butterscotch, graininess and I will add lack of hop personality - it is an odd package that,as tupalev says does have flavor.Too light body and veers into Macro territory with the feel and aftertaste. Is there corn that makes it rather Labbatt Blue-like? Bring on the Craft Brewers Alliance B-S, I was expecting it. And now... for the silly 200th rating music...
