The_Root (35), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Apr 24, 2008 I had it as a friend got it for his wife to try (she hates beer) and she said it still tasted like beer... It may as well be fermented orangina.
Perhaps after a day of back breaking labour out in the back yard but only if you are too lazy to make yourself a radler (sorry.. shandy). Suffice it to say that I’m glad I didn’t pay for it.. It has its place as a beer cocktail but to call it a fruit beer is a bit more of a stretch then I would really be willing to make.. radiomgb (1711), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada Aug 28, 2006 341ml bottle from the <a href=http://www.lcbo.com/ target=blank>LCBO in Belleville, Ontario. Golden yellow in colour, very thin white head, small amounts of lacing. The aroma is very sweet and sugary, light citrus. The flavour is fruity, juicy with a noticable grapefruit syrupyness. Coating mouthfeel, medium/light body, medium carbonation. Finishes quite sweet and lingering. Experiment gone wrong.
No Best Before date. bitbucket (1476), Kirkland, Washington, USA Apr 27, 2006 If someone asked me to brew up something that tastes like the product of an unholy union between a soda pop and a nondescript malt beverage, this would be my target brew. I could rant on about the genuinely artificial flavors, but why belabor the point? This isn’t beer. MrManning (1415), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 12, 2006 Singles bin at LCBO- Cloudy yellow pour with a big fizzy white head. Minute lace. Fruity, mostly grapefruit and other citrus aromas, with some bread. Taste is sweet citrus, again, mostly grapefruit with sugar on it. Slightly cloying, but better than expected. DougShoemaker (2553), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 1, 2005 Grapefruit aroma, hazy yellow, pours a big ,short lived white head, leaves some lace too. Taste is grapefruit (I’ve had worse apricot wheat beers) Very sweet, but oddly enjoyable, I wouldn’t say refreshing though. Not too bad, better than expected.
