Growler. Poured a slightly hazed deep orange-copper color with a medium off-white head. The aroma starts off phenolic and then shows some banana underneath. Even some minty notes. Toasted bread malt makes the base of the aroma. Sweet malt thats gets some spice in the middle through the long sweet finish. Light to medium body. Odd finish that makes my tongue twist.

I think that "Notalush’s" rating hits the nail pretty squarely on the head when he says that it is out of balance. The spice was in generous proportions which, to me, made it a very interesting brew. In this year’s batch the alcohol is covered up much better with orange citrus and coriander flavors. Another improvement is that it no longer has the sticky sweetness described. Don’t misunderstand, it is still sweet, just no where nears what I would describe as over-sweet. This is not like any other Brickhouse beer, so if you haven’t liked them in the past don’t count this one out.

Not your typical belgian strong ale - clear golden with a copper tint - sweet aroma, with a lot of spice, bracing you for what’s to come - the alcohol is a bit evident at first, but a heaping helping of spices helps cover it up quickly - coriander, and some nutmeg? are strongest - light banana and clove coupled with a touch of phenolics - strong belgian sugar sweetness makes the beer a bit too sweet, and makes it a little sticky - a little out of balance, but still quite nice.
