Sampled from a growler shared by goldtwins on 5/1/06: Slightly hazy copper orange appearance with a lightly-lacing off-white head. Fresh citrusy and earthy piney aroma has good sweet caramel malty balance. Body starts with some sweet caramel and lightly toasted malt with lots of good grapefruit and piney hoppy bitter balance. Finishes slightly earthy and grainy with a warming bittersweet finish. Could hide its abv better, but still a pretty good brew.

Growler thanks to JoeMcPhee. Poured a hazy orange amber color with a small beige head. Sugary caramel malty aroma. Some citrus and earthy hop aroma. Light alcohol in the nose. Moderately sweet malty flavor Piney hop starting mid-way through the finish. Semi-dry and acidic. The bitterness is mild. Tasty but light. Medium body.

From a 64 oz growler. Hazy deep orange coloured beer. Great fresh hop aroma. Orange and tangerine, grapefruity citrus with a gorgeous spicy component as well. Pine and light earthiness. No resinousness. Sweet caramel malts blend wonderfully with the spicy/fruity hops. Well-balanced. The texture seems a little light for an IIPA. Low-moderate bitterness, but again, a fantastic hop bill. The best beer I’ve had from this brewery and one of the best IPAs I’ve had.
