goldtwins (3672), Nesconset, New York, USA Apr 24, 2008 Poured a clear copper-brown color with a thin tan head. Light roasted aroma with some coffe notes. Sweet and roasted malt flavor. Light-medium body.
notalush (1971), Rawn-kawn-kohma, New York, USA Apr 4, 2008 I was surprised by this one - a lot of brick house beers really don’t sit well with me, but this had a nice creamy body, and a very smooth flavor of roasted nuts and caramel - a tiny bite of hops in the finish - a little buttery, but not in a diacetyl-like way - the metallic character that plagues many of this brewer’s beers was not present at all. MaliMisho (208), East Meadow, New York, USA Feb 8, 2008 The man who this beer was named after, Paul Brown, was drinking at the Brick House when I had this one. It was pretty decent, it had a dark brown body, and wasn’t bad. JAF737300 (733), New York, New York, USA Aug 13, 2007 Dark brown pour with a thick head. The aroma showed caramel malts with a nice hint of hazelnuts on the mouthfeel. It drank very creamy. Chapel (299), Levittown, New York, USA Jul 31, 2007 Dark brown with a thick creamy head that reveals the palate. I would be lying if I said that this beer had much in the way of a striking aroma, but this was not reflected in the taste what-so-ever. Highly roasted malty taste was dominant from start to finish but there was a hint of nuttiness also.
