COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Portsmouth Gas Light Co. tapped its new private label beer, Brick Oven Brown. Long Trail Brewing Co. in Vermont to develop the brew, which is made with Mt. Hood and nugget hops and two row, wheat and amber malt. The beer’s bitterness units is 16, which makes it a mild, easy-drinking brew. The beer is 5.2 percent alcohol by volume and described as a northern English style brown ale that features a blend of seven types of malted barley and wheat that yields a light brown brew with a smooth, sweet finish.

On tap, poured amber brown, with a thin bubbly head that left spotty lacing. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, taste is the same as aroma with a slight bitterness from hops. Mouthfeel is medium with a dry finish. Good private label! I would recommend it.
