I’ve had Red Baron several times, and for a ’value beer’, I actually don’t mind it. My first time trying their ’lime’. Not a favourite, but I think better than Bud Light Lime. Not quite as ’limey’. Price was right.

| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 7/20 | Jan 2, 2010 With thanks I guess to GregClow on his continued evil plan to force us to drink lime beers. Appearance: Very light yellow/straw with a small white head yet quite a bit of visible carbonation. Aroma, quite like real lime actually, unlike some of the synthetic shite we’ve seen in the past. With a dose of grass there too. Flavour: Corn, lime. To paraphrase what GregClow says below: it’s a cooler or refresher - just not a beer. GregClow (2516), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 26, 2009 Bottle Highly carbonated golden body with a thick, creamy head that fades to nothing very quickly. Pleased to find the aroma has a very natural lime essence, with a mild malt graininess hanging around the edge. Body is crisp and clean, and the flavour features natural tasting lime with a faint hint of beer lurking in the background. This is a perfectly acceptable refresher, just not much of a beer. | 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Dec 23, 2009 This light beer poured a crystal clear, light yellow colour with a big, fast living, bright white, foamy head. To the nose there are scents of ginger ale, citrus and soda water. Slight malt scent, but if this is beer you wouldn’t know it by the smell. First swig was the most watery, thin flavoured ""Beer"" that i’ve ever had. Flavours of ginger, soda and lime result in the worst, light beer I’ve had. Flavours of ginger ale unfortunetly continue into the finsh and beyond. Muck. jerc (3966), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Muddle lime and sprite like character in the aroma. Flavour is similar, lime over lemon lime soda, sweetish, citrus sourness in the finish. Average to light palate. | 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Oct 16, 2009 Bottle from Greg Clow. Thanks. Pours a very light gold w. a glowing white fluffy head. Nose is somewhere between lemon-lime soda & an extremely effervescent gin & tonic. Also a bit reminiscent of those lemon lime Emergen-C vitamin drink packets. Anyhow, Flavor is a bit of malt but mostly catty lemon lime soda. If sprite/sierra mist was really thick & could get skunked you’d have something along these lines. A bit more malt in the finish but blech. XtraStout (46), Alberta, Canada
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Oct 14, 2009 Much better than the big name competition. You know what I’m talking about.
Not going to bother with a fancy review here. The difference between this and BLL, this tastes like beer with some lime instead of a lime-ade beverage.
Kinda yummy, wouldn’t dink too often.
