473 ml can from LCBO. Pours orange in colour, moderate sized off white head. Not much aroma here, but nice complex malty sweetness. Pretty drinkable, I’d buy it again!

Solid offering. The aroma is almost non-existent but is reminiscent of garbage. The smell aside, it’s a very enjoyable beer. Not what I expected given the name "amber" but nice nonetheless.

Aroma slight tartness, dusty malts with some alcohol warmth.
Appearance clear amber with visible frisky carbonation. Medium light top. 3-.
Flavor and Palate : malty front , medium bodied. Low hop elements, flat mid. Some alcoholic notes ending. Forgettable.

473ml can pours a pale amber color with a finger and a half of white head that settles down to some very thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is light caramel with some kind of grassy hops. Taste is some earthy and metallic hop bitterness with a light caramel malt sweetness and some woodiness. The metallic notes kind of knocked a few points off this one for me.

Not exactly quaffable, but somehow compelling. You expect a certain type of beer when you buy an Amber made by Brick Brewing but this just throws expectations out the window. There’s chaos hiding in that can. I find it really hard to rate, actually... the hotness is DEFINITELY there but it’s not overpowering, it’s clashing with what I would describe as roastiness, unexpected for this style. And do I taste molasses? Higher points than I thought I’d give it, just because it’s so exciting. Try it.

[4368-20120404] 473mL can. Maple caramel sweet malt aroma. Hazy, dark orange brown body with a medium-lasting creamy light tan head. Bitter lemon zest toasted cardboard flavour has a lingering light sweet maple note. Medium body. Not for me. (6/4/6/3/10) 2.9

473ml can. Clear gold, fat white head that leaves decent lace. Nose is bready, some light noble grassy hops. Taste is sweet caramel up front, gets bready, light rye grain, maybe some nuttiness. Some alcohol at the end, light hop notes, woody, herbal, little bready aftertaste. Medium body, a lot of carbonation. Not bad, kind of bock like.

2012-04-04. Hazy orange amber body, large off-white head fades a bit. Modest aroma, sweet caramel, light alcohol and modest cereal character to the grains. Flavour is similar, sweet sugars and caramel touches, dry bitterness in the finish has a light grainy character. Average palate. It feels like a sweet Belgian crossed with a strong European lager. The alcohol is not overly strong but is a bit distracting somehow. Reminds me of another beer that I can’t place. Okay. Can from the LCBO

can. Poured clear copper with a white froth. Light toasty malt aroma. Medium-light mouthfeel, very smooth carbonation. Up front alcohol note with an apricot sweetness. A touch dry finish.

Reddish amber pour with just a little touch of white head. Watery slightly sweet scent. Warm mouth. A touch floral and nutty. Nice slightly bitter hops taste. Years ago I fell in love with an Amber beer you can no longer buy (sadly I forget the name, Royal Amber Lager perhaps), I’ve been chasing that beer for years and have had many ambers that have disappointed. This is the closest I have had. I’m really digging this. It’s not deep, it’s not complex, it’s just easy to drink and tastes good.

Single 473ml can at the LCBO from Brick’s "Seasonal Collection". Pours a clear golden-amber colour with a decent big tanned cap that has good retention and offers foamy lacing. Grainy aromas of mild roasted and caramel hops, alcohol with very light fruits and hops. Very smooth silky mouthfeel, but not much stick in the end. Soft sweet malt start with the hop kicking a bit after the middle and notes of rusty water appears in the finish. Gets better as you drink more. Interesting coming from Brick’s under their Waterloo name, but still not a top Oktoberfest.
