Commercial Description:
A dark beer can be a very scary thought to some people. Surprise, surprise. There's no other beer quite like Waterloo Dark, refreshingly light and delicate in taste but rich in colour. Don't be afraid of the dark. surprise yourself.

Looks and smells great-- dark chestnut brown, thin tan cap, aromas of faint toast, chocolate and raisins. But very little in the way of flavour other than caramel (how do they do that-- lure you in with the aroma and short-change you on the flavour?).

[488-20070808] Tap @ Pickle Barrel (Toronto, ON). Dark malty aroma with some nutty characteristics. Dark brown body has red hues and a long-lasting creamy light tan head. Malty nut flavour has hints of dark chocolate. Lovely medium-full body, a little thinner than expected. Surprisingly springy and refreshing.

This beer basically has no aroma, no flavour, it tastes like watered down cocacola. Very carbonated. One of the worst beers i’ve ever had. Tastes alot like pc lager just the colour is darker like coke.

bottle. pours dark brown/red with little to no head. small lacing left on the glass but very little carbonation throughout. very smooth very light bodied. faint dark beer aromas and flavours but almost nothing to comment on. not offensive. a dark beer brewed for the masses. i wish brick brewery wasnt so in love with formossa springs water and would leave more flavour in their beers.

I tried this beer on July 11, 2007 at Jack Astor’s Restaurant (Front/York) in Toronto. The beer poured a dark reddish-brown into the glass with little head, and constant effervescence. What head there was........was gone in the blink of an eye. The aroma was weak with malt. The mouthfeel was thick and full-bodied. The taste was bland for a dark beer, some malt flavour, but not much else.

On tap, not too much head, dark brown-redish coulour, aroma not very present. Taste is good at first but leaves a weird changing aftertaste, that’s somewhat sweet/bitter but also a tad sour? Odd, but over-all not that bad.

VEyr nice and I finally got it, after last year I had to leave it for later. It was very nice flavoured, and more like and stout.

Dark brown, nice head. Mild sweet and malty flavour. Has a hint of coffee style aftertaste. Very nice and the perfect amount of sweet.
