Commercial Description:
A dark beer can be a very scary thought to some people. Surprise, surprise. There's no other beer quite like Waterloo Dark, refreshingly light and delicate in taste but rich in colour. Don't be afraid of the dark. surprise yourself.

341ml brown bottle. Poured dark brown, mahogany tints. Head was initially large, fizzed away to a small tight ring of bubbles clinging to edge of the glass. Aroma is sweet dark malts. Flavour is again sweet with a brief toffee note, roasted note also appears in finish but is rather light. Medium body.

Bottle.Sampled at a Hilton somewhere in Toronto. Dark brown color with smallish beige head. Roasted candyish aroma with hints of fruit. Body somewhat lacking oomph with an unpleassantly tangy finish/aftertaste.

I used to drink guinees until I found Waterloo Dark, now this is my preferred brew. Made in Waterloo Ontario Canada, and the stubby bottles are pretty cool too!

Bottled. Light toffee aroma. Brown color, small light brown head, few lace. Light sweet, toffee but actually quite neutral flavor, thin.

Dark brown, with reddish highlights, with a tan-colored shy head, caramel malt, roasted malt, mayde a chocolatey note in the nose, folows through on a medium-bodied palate, with a maltiness accent, chocolatey note, toffee, roastiness, grainy, leading to a sweet dark malt finish.

Justifiable name - very robust dark reddish colour. Quite light on the hopping. The roasted malt is very smooth and gives a thick flavour to the beer, yet doesn’t have much of a burnt flavour about it. Well blended, and very smooth. Quite sweet, and a slight dryness in the aftertaste, but unfortunately, not much aroma. Enjoyable to drink.

Pours a dark, almost opaque, black colour with a medium head. Aroma is light, with some caramel and molasses. Given the appearance I was expecting a much thicker and flavourfull beer but this turned out to be rather light in body and taste. The taste starts off sweet with some molasses presnet but finishes off somewhat dry. Not bad but..
