A golden IA with a thin light mocha head. In aroma, grainy malt with grassy hops, and light mineral notes. In mouth, a crisp malt with faint German like hops, lager like, boring.

Can, LCBO. Bought it because I was feeling nostalgic I guess (I moved from Waterloo 2 years ago). Very clear copper with a foamy white head. Metallic stale malt aroma, mixed with tea. Uh oh. Watery mouthfeel. Burnt toast and tea, bready stale malts, and some earthy hops in finish. This is like the regurgitated nightmare of 10 years of failed Ontario IPA’s all coughed up at once. Talk about nostalgia. Yuck.

473 mL can. Medium amber copper pour, fairly large foamy off white head. Biscuit malt and light hop aroma. Nothing too distinctive in the taste, more malt than hop.

473 ml can from LCBO. Pours a medium colour with medium foamy head. Aroma is little hops and more malts. Taste is same. IPA? Meh.

Brassy coloured with thin white head. Light aromas that start with cereal, bready malts, and finish with some grassiness. Light mouth feel. Tastes are light citrus and lighter caramel. An easy to quaff beer, but ultimately forgettable.

Oh this is bad news. Wasn’t expecting a ’real’ IPA -- ie with hops etc -- with this but the word traditional on the can made me assume they were aiming for an English malt bomb style. But no. What we get here is mud. Nothing pops. Flavour profile is boiled vegetables & vitamin pills. Yuck.

[6096-20131212] Can. Mild grainy cereal aroma. Clear, orange amber body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Bitter grainy orange paper flavour. Medium body. Average. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2014 Can from LCBO. Clear amber colour with off white head. Smells faint, like grain, apples, peppery hops. Taste is mild as well, some fruity and grainy malt, caramel, mild bitterness. Not bad English IPA but very tame.

Can: Poured a medium amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light bitter hops with light caramel malt hops. Taste is also dominated by bitter hops with a limited flavour profile with some lightly sweet caramel malt notes. Body is a bit light with good carbonation. Taste like an IPA that was brewed at the turn of the century.

Clear mahogany colour with a frothy white head. Mute aroma with some hoppy notes and biscuit like malt. Medium to light body, watery mid-palate and a slightly hoppy finish. TO call this an English style IPA is a bit of a stretch, more like a bitter than an IPA.
