Watery boring beer with not that much dry hopping going on. Just a bad sister of an English IPA. Not interesting at all...

I picked up a can of this at my local liquour store. It was a new arrival, so I was excited to try. This is probably everything that can go wrong with an IPA. I found the taste to be kind of skunky, like the hops were the worst possible quality to put in, and the malt was kind of sweet, syrupy tasting. It also had a lasting bad aftertaste. It kind of scared me away from other Brick Brewing offerings.

Bottle. Pours clear amber, no head. Fruity aroma. Slightly creamy, bready, English hops, and bitter finish. Thin body. Not bad.

2014/04/20 - Pours a clear orange-amber colour with a frothy, off white head that lingers. Moderate lacing. Aroma is biscuit, caramel, mild floral hops and mild citrus. Taste is biscuit, caramel, buttery notes, mild bittering hops and a touch of roast. Mildly sweet and mildly bitter. Mouthfeel is light to medium with biting carbonation and a slightly drying finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Smell is citrus(tangerine, orange, maybe grapfruit)hop bitterness. Smell is strong & good. Lots of head fades to about a finger w/lacing amber orange. Taste is lighter then the smell of the citrus hop & hop bitterness, with a smooth malt taste that is kinda like butter/creamy. Hops lightly tickle throat. Not a hardcore in yer face IPA but a stronger tasteing/smelling mild type ipa. Cheer’s.

lacyhead (23) - Burlington, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 19, 2014
UPDATED: MAR 21, 2014 Clear orange brew with frothy off-white head that dissipates quickly. Bready, biscuit aroma with hints of alcohol. Initial, slightly bitter taste that is quickly replaced by light caramel flavour and then more bitterness. Not particularly bitter for an IPA. A better beer than some I have had recently but not very memorable

473 mL can. Pours copper with a off white head. Muted nose with a hint of hop. Vienna and light caramel malts, a hint of herbal hop and toffee. Medium body and medium carbonation. Pretty one dimensional and bland. Pass.

jercraigs (7638) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 27, 2013
2013-12-12. Crisp orange body, modest off-white head fades. Aroma is mild but pleasant, biscuity caramel tinged malt, very mild green hops. Flavour is moderately bitter throughout, flavour is primarily biscuity caramel malt with an English character to the malt. Hop character provides a decent bitterness but fairly mild otherwise, light greenery, very muted fruit touches. Lingering bitterness in the finish and aftertaste. Smooth average plus bodied palate is fairly carbonated. Definitely more in the English tradition than American but decent. Can from the LCBO, Toronto
