A smooth, refreshing Belgian wheat, brewed with curacao and a hint of coriander; served with an orange slice. Great for a warm Summer day.

Sampled with my friends on a stop at the brewpub on the way to DLD 2013. The came in the sample glass hazy straw color, with a small bubbled white head. The nose was classic witbier with coriander. Medium plus in body with a solid wheat mouthfeel. the flavor is spicy and and you get some citrus in the finish. Refreshing brew and easy drinking.

Sampled at Brickstone. It poured a cloudy yellow color with a creamy white head. The aroma was a nice blend of floral esters, mild phenols, fresh wheat, yeast, prominent orange and lime. The taste was a little spicy which was slightly musty, but generally clean. It was mostly dry with a spicy finish. Decent.

Sampled at the brewpub. Light hazed golden with a little white foam. Some crispness here and wheat notes. This is refreshing beer but is ligjt on hefe flavors.

slightly hazy yellow color, white haed, some lace. mold airy nose of wheat with whiff of banana. flavor is malty and wheaty with only a faint undertone of banana. sort fizzy mouth feel, light and creamy, clean finish. i am not a fan of the style at all, but this is a pretty decent effort. on tap at brickstone brewpub.

on tap at the resturant, this was dead flat and VERY cold. a bad start no doubt. aroma was interesting, though it contained some elements of suntan lotion it would seem...not a total trainwreck but calling this an accurate depiction of a belgian is a bit bold, if anything this is a below average weizen. funny that they mention that it is unfiltered, when they make quite the case to let you know how none of their beers are filtered at all.

Sampled from growler at Dark Lord Days 2008, and shared by a non-RB’ian at the back of the line. Unfortunately this kind person did not get his Dark Lord as the brewery ran out long before he even got close to the brewery. This witbier was a nice refreshment, though. Pours a semi-hazed straw blonde brew with a thick white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of light multi-grain malt with wheat, coriander, some orange zest, a touch of lime and hints of banana and yeast. Flavor is light to medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of multi-grain white grain malt, coriander, yeast and some banana. Coriander came out more in the flavor than aroma. Finish is slightly tart with a white pepper character.

Why do I continually forget to say, "No slice, please"?
Once I chucked said orange slice (ate it, actually, followed by water), I took in the aroma of lightly tart citrus juice, coriander, and soft wheat malt. Good looking, a hazy straw body with a respectable head. Nice lacing. The flavor pretty much reflected the aroma, although the coriander seemed to emerge more fully. It finished on a spicy, lightly tart note. Refreshing.
