On tap @ the brewpub. Pours a light brown with a thin off-white head that dissappears rather quickly. Aromas of pine and caramel. Very nice balance of caramel and citrus. Not an aggressive IPA, but very drinkable and very enjoyable.

Pours a clear red/brown color. Aroma is malty followed by sweet carmel. The taste is close to the smell. Right away its a sweet carmel taste followed by a slight hint of citrus and pine in the finish. This one goes down smooth but is lacking in overall quality.

A good IPA but it changes taste everytime you try it. I have had some that are excellent and some that were not. I would give it a 4 of it was consistant.

on tap at the brewpub. hazy gold, off white bubbles float on top of beer. nose of citrus hops. flvor is bitter citrus hops with a creamy, caramely note. medium bodied, bitter finish. very enjoyable, sessionable ipa.

pretty good! with respect to other ’british style ’ IPAs ive enjoyed (blackheart, brooklyn east india) those hops were much more subdued and as i called them in their own reviews, ’classy’. this is very bitter, herbal notes abound with little in the way of fruits. im surprised that this place would produce such a challenging (relatively) beer with their clientele as it would seem to be not interested in being challenged.

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange yellow with an off white soapy head. Really fresh nose. Grapefruit, apricot, citrus, carmel, earthy, herbal, and slight doughy cookie scent. Really surprising. Medium bodied smooth. Citrus, caramel, grapefruit, pine, earthy, and dough balanced well. Really refreshing. Piney and bitter caramel finish. Wow I have to say I am impressed by this beer from this small brewery. Well done.

Fresh from the tap, this poured a rich copper body with a fluffy off-white head and laced the glass with spotted sheets. The aromatic hops could be a tad bit stronger, but as it stands the floral, grapefruit, citrus zest, herbal, and earthy scents are supported by a clean caramel sweetness. In the flavor, a touch of toffee is added to the caramel sweetness, but this is soon met head-on by a solid hoppy bitterness, now with some resinous pine added. The finish is a moderate, prolonged bitterness. Nice. I was treated to a sample of the next batch straight from the fermenter (that tasting not incorporated into this rating, of course) by brewmaster Tommy. To date, it has more aromatic hops and tastes a tad more bitter. I’m looking forward to the final product. Rating #3700! <font size=-4><a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Places/ShowPlace.asp? From growler. Fresh hop smell with a sniff of malts behind it. Deep copper brown color. Taste shows light molasses cookie and a hint of ginger, overlaid with PNW hops, perhaps some German bitterness, too. I’m thinking some dry hopping involved here, but I’ll get a correction later on.
