Growler from the brewpub. Pours an extremely dark brown, almost black, with a medium tan head. Aromas of cocoa, coffee and caramel. Big cocoa flavor up front with a bitter finish, very drinkable.

Oatmeal stout on steriods. The malt flavors are outrageous. This is a pretty thick beer so they fill you up after one or two.

black, almost light impermiable color, tiny tan bubbles, lacy. nose heavy with chocolate, roasty malt, coffee. flavor of coffee, burnt malt, bitter chocolate. full bodied, sweet finish. pleasing, not too sweet, malty brew. on tap @ brickstone brewpub.

On tap at the brewpub: Nice pour, almost black in the glass topped by a thick light brown head. The aroma was coffee and cream and rosted malt. Smooth to drink, the roasty coffee and malts were joined by a bit of milk chocolate and a touch of oatmeal. This finish was sweet with a light roasted bitterness. Nice.
