4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft at Famous Dave’s, Bolingbrook. Gotta say I agree with all the accolades. This is the most solid exemplar of its style that I can think of. A nice bouquet of piney and tangy hops that continues in the palate as well. Malt is sturdy, lightly sweet, and makes the hop bitterness all the more palatable. Some may want their uvulas scorched by excessive hoppiness, but this is the best use of Amarillos I can remember. Fully balanced and enjoyable.

Draft: Poured a bright yellow color ale with a nice foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of floral citrus notes is quite nice. Taste is also a mix of citrusy floral hoppy notes with some light residual sugar notes and light piney notes and no real bitterness is discernable. Body is about average with good carbonation. Easy to drink with nice flavours with no discernable bitterness.

Tap at Half Day. Golden with a clingy white head and medium lacing. Clover, a little dank, dried apricot and wet hay. The flavor has a soft, grassy bitterness that is very drinkable. Lighter body with a watery feel.

In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and refreshing. A nice start to our strip. On tap at Cigar and Stripes BBQ.

Tastes like cleaning fluid smells. One of the worst beers I’ve ever tasted in my life! Anyone that tells you they like it is a liar!

It’s pours golden with an off white head. The aroma has orange, tangerine and semi sweet malt. It has a medium body with a good amount semi soft carbonation. The taste starts with pine, zest, orange, rich caramel and some spice. The finish is drier with more dry citrus. Really nice.
