COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Deep golden in color, made with light caramel malts, hopped with loads of Amarillo hops with a slight citrus flavor, then dry hopped for 4 days for a plentiful aroma. Our brewmaster’s favorite.

Location: 22 oz bottle from Printers Row Wine Shop, 7/16/14, as Brickstone APA

Aroma: The nose is citrus hops, spice, pine notes, and some underlying sweet caramel
Appearance: It pours a murky orange color with a sheet if clean beige head and spotty lace
Flavor: The taste is clean and a bit hoppy, not particularly bitter for the style, not sweet either
Palate: The body is medium, leaning lighter, smooth, clean feel, with a somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression: Pretty tasty, pretty easy APA. It has a plenty solid aroma and some good flavors. Clean stuff. Nicely made.

Draft. Bfields. Dark yellow, citrus aroma and a grapefruit-forward flavor profile throughout. Nice malt balance. Clean finish, well done.

6.25% ABV. Cloudy orange. Citrus (specifically lemon) is the name of the game here; huge presence in both taste and smell. Malt is there but overpowered. This beer is also extremely fizzy on the palate. Unbalanced but pleasant to drink.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of floral and lightly citrusy and lightly fruity hops, pale and caramel malts, and light dough. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent pale ale.

22oz bottle 4/19/14 (Binnys Downers Grove)-40° in Shaker-Pours a hazy light amber with a small white head. Aroma of hops, citrus, and malt. Taste of the same with more hops. This medium bodied brew is well balanced and goes down smooth . Nice brew.

Bottle shared by beerpig317. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was lasting with excellent lacing. Solid balanced complex citrus hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium to abundant body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy balanced flavor with a medium smooth bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.

Bomber to snifter. Looks good; a mostly transparent orange with eggshell lacing. Smells solid; juicy hops and pale malt. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. A bit more syrupy than I prefer, but solid nonetheless.

22oz bottle, shared by beerpig317. Clear amber color. Thin bubbly white head, leaves good reaches of lace. Nice grapefruity citrusy citra hop in the nose; caramel malt... Great biscuity malt. Medium-plus body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. Some vanilla. Moderate bitter taste. Little sweet. Great, flavorful pale ale. A bit hoppier than typical, but it’s not pretending to be an IPA.. Very balanced. Great, interesting, complex malt profile, too...

ARH (337) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 5, 2014
22oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. The aroma starts with a strong citrus (a bit of grapefruit, a bit of orange) as well as a hint of candy berry. As the head thins out, more caramel comes through with pine. Near the end of the bottle, there’s a roasted nut note as well as some bubblegum and a biscuit-like aroma as well. It pours a crystal clear, dark honey gold with a soapy, effervescent, off-white head that recedes quickly to a filmy dishwater layer with a light ring around the edges. It leaves some lace behind, but not much. The taste is a balance of medium sweetness with a medium bitter; although the bitter part becomes much more mellow and less pronounced near the end of the bottle (low levels). It a medium bodied beer with an all-around average carbonation. The texture is oily, although started to become creamy as it warmed. A pine and resin finish is noticed early in the drink, but near the end, the caramel malt is much more prevalent and the finish takes on more berry, citrus, and toasted bread qualities with a touch of nuttiness. The aftertaste is initially pine and resin, but some bubblegum starts to appear as the bottle empties.

Orange in color. Poured with minimal head. Aroma of hops and mild caramel. Mild lacing. I did not get any citrus in the taste. Mostly mild hops with a sticky finish. Not bad. Goes down easy.
