HAHAHAHA I laughed my ass off at how little taste this crap has. This is one of their more popular offerings, probabally because it is one of the more boring ones, how do you expect to SELL people on drinking beer if this is the sort of crap you come up with.

This beer tastes only slightly better than Coors or Budweiser. I’d take a Miller Lite over this beer any day... High carbonation, even for a lager, and weak taste. I can see why this is their most popular beer - it’s the best beer they have. Even so, you can see the other ratings. It’s just plain bleh.

Probiere (992) - Iowa, USA - MAY 2, 2007
Grainy stale aroma, sticky sweet crackers/wet toast, finish odd, long, and...papery. Cereal aftertaste.

I’d say this tasted really clean. I guess that means that there wasn’t any noticable good or bad tastes. Just a slightly bitter ale. Some breadcrumb flavors. Decent.

GeneralGao (3545) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - DEC 22, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 28, 2006 Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden color with thin white head. Flowery hop aroma balanced well with the malt. This is one of their better offerings.

SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - AUG 19, 2005
On tap at the brewpub. Light yellow with fizzy big bubbles to its white head. Slight malty, hay-like aroma, but very slight. Watery harsh palate. Slight metallic finish. Sodium bicarbonate is the dominant flavor! No hops.

heemer77 (4792) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JAN 30, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 16, 2005 One of the best this place has to offer. But that isn’t saying much. Dark amber with a trace of a white head. Aroma of hay, bananas and some cocoa. A very weird combo for a pale ale. The taste is surpisingly sweet with dark bread and a toasted finish.

   AROMA 4/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 5/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 8/20
muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JUL 15, 2004
Sample at the brewpub. Medium clear amber, full-looking for a light; ok fresh grassy nose; light flavor, a hint of grainy hops, some biscuit in the background, not bad.
