Yellow pour with creamy white head and lace. Light malt aroma and some light earthy hops. Sweet almost perfumy flavor that goes to a dry finish, perfume seems to linger. A slight hop bitter as well. Light bodied and fizzy. A pretty good beer.

Not much aroma. Flavor is good. Light but crisp and refreshing. Very drinkable.

[Tap] Sampled at Beer Fest VII in OKC. Pours a very light shade of yellow without much head. Sweet grass and grain nose. Typical kolsch flavor is heavily grainy and a bit dry. Not very fruity or sweet at all. Average mouthfeel and palate. Not exactly true to style, but pretty good nevertheless.

Draft at the brewpub. All the expected visuals of a kolsch, light straw color, fizzy head. Drinks without much distinction, lacks the unique fruity edge of a true kolsch, but unoffensive all the same. (#4158, 6/29/2011)
