COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewer Dan Tasker had his own pub for 5 years so he has a very clear idea of the beers he wants to brew. He does 5 permanent beers and Pennine Pale is a special he does for festivals. He says the recipe is for an old India Pale Ale. it has a very pale malt base and is heavily hopped.

Cask, Leicester Fest 08. Hazy gold with a small head. Aromas are grapefruit with floral notes. Some yeastiness. Flavours are biscuit malts with apricot and citrus. Hoppy with a very dry finish. Decent.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at the Bricklayers.
Superbly conditioned gold ale with an excellent white head. Now THAT’S an aroma! Slight sulpur but it is totally held in check by some superb grassy hops. Piney, grapefruity, very tropical and all round adorable. Flavour is similar but just not quite in the same league. Too creamy and not enough bite. Good stuff though.

Cask @ Bricklayers Arms, Yorkshire BF ’08. Golden / yellow colour. Aroma is sweet, citrus, fruity. Taste is syrupy, with tropical fruits coming through, hoppy. Very enjoyable beer.

Cask @ Bricklayers Arms, Putney Fest 2008: Citrus, lemon, malt and sugar aroma. Pours a bright golden/yellow beer. Softt mouthfeel, taste sweet, grapefruit, some hops with tropical and passionfruit notes. Quite nice.
