3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber thanks to JStax. Pours dark brown with a small head that fades quickly. Aroma is cola, prunes, raisins, toffee, and caramel. Taste is moderately sweet with lots of dark fruit, especially prunes and raisins. Big malty and yeasty finish with more dark fruit, toffee, and caramel. Medium to thick body, chewy mouthfeel. Very little carbonation though. Decent dubbel but maybe a bit too much dark fruit and not enough carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at the 2012 American Craft Beer Festival. For a dubbel, this beer is a little too fruity, but the spicy yeast is nice.
