COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp gold ale with fruity and spicy aroma has a medium body and soft malty sweetness that is balanced by moderate hop bitterness and high carbonation to provide a dry finish. (Released in bottle 2015 (9.0% ABV) labeled 3 River Tripel) The layered taste of this Belgian-style Tripel is a humblebrag about our homeland, a testament to our 3 stunning National Parks and the mighty rivers that flow through each: the rugged Bluestone, the playful New, and the raucous Gauley. This jaw-dropping beauty is our backyard. Come see how luck we are. Hike, boat, bike, zip-- jump into an adventure, and save a cold swig to commemorate your journey.

Bottle: Pours nearly clear gold with a small white head. Aroma is a little juicy fruit gum, sweet fruit nectar. Taste is semi-sweet fruit, light spice.... Slightly oily flavour and feel.

Bottle pour avg gold with thin white head that rapidly dissipates. Nose yeasty with hint of ester but also a slight chemical smell. Taste sweeter malt up front, light bubble gum, some spice and ester. Taste better than it smells, but still not fantastic

Bottle (labeled 3 River Tripel). Yeast, lemon malt, and straw aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Yeasty, milky lemon malt, and moderately bitter herbal grass flavor. Decent body.

Bomber from Studio B, Fayetteville. Pours a hazy golden color with a thin creamy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of not much... some tannic notes and faint bread. The taste is pale, bready malts, faint fruits, spice, hoppy finish. Lingering bitterness. Medium bodied. Decent.

Bottle. Golden color, relatively still. Thin head. The aroma is full of green grapes. Indeed, it drinks almost like grape juice ... sticky and syrupy-sweet. There doesn’t seem to be much body, and virtually no carbonation. Comes off a bit odd. (#4978, 4/10/2013)

weihenweizen (2939) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - MAR 19, 2013
Refrigerated brown bomber poured into in a trappist glass. Pours deep golden with white fluffy head which dissapates fairly quickly. Some big bubble lacing, medium carbonation, and pale candy sugar/fruity aroma. Taste is spice (clove and nutmeg), fruity (banana, pear, and some lemon), some pale candy sugar, and some alcohol. Complex, too much alcohol, and there are lots of tripels I prefer over this especially for the price.

Bottle from a generous trader. Pours cloudy gold with a white head. Nose/taste of yeast, banana taffy, grain and lemongrass. Lighter bodied.

Sampled at the 2012 American Craft Beer Festival. An alright tripel, but nothing really stood out about this one. Needs more flavor.

Pours a thin clear gold with a fluffy white head. Nose & taste are BOOZY, hay, sweet fruits (pear possibly) a bit thin, a bit of a let down. This beer may get better if laid down for a bit, but not something I would have high hopes for as currently constituted. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
