Sampled at the 2012 American Craft Beer Festival. Pours dark and has a lot of coffee in addition to the roasted malts. Not bad.

Tap. Khaki tan head on a deep dark brown that nears on black. Lots of coffee grind aromas, bitter dark chocolate, and slight dark fruit sweetness in the aroma. Flavor is very coffee driven at first but chocolate becomes a clearer flavor throughout. Medium softer body. Solid.

Poured on draft at pies and pints. Appearance is a dark brown with a thin, khaki head. Retention is a little lacking, but, thatís the only thing I can find to mark against the appearance. Aroma is definitely filled with coffee. Roasty and just slightly bitter. Taste is medium sweetness and mild bitterness. Mouthfeel thick, with not much in the way of carbonation. Finish is long and slightly bitter. Good overall beer.

On tap at Pies and Pints. Pours black with dark brown hightlights and beige head. Medium body, medium carbonation, and sweet coffee aroma. Taste is roasted malt, coffee, and light bitter finish. Well balanced and one of the best coffee stouts that I have had.

Dark brown, tan cover. Good coffee aroma, some astringent roastiness, light cocoa. Taste is the same, the beer comes across just a little like cold coffee grounds at times, but solid.

On tap at Pies & Pints in Charleston. Poured a dark, midnight brown. Aroma wasnít as heavy as I expected but it was vaguely malty with a tip of coffee and chocolate. Flavor was fantastically balanced. Not too sweet or dry and it didnít have an overwhelming amount of coffee flavor, which tends to be the way most "coffee stouts" are going. But no, this had really nice balance and was extremely smooth too. Good job on this one.

Stopped for great Pizza and half a pint. Light cola color, OK head, very fresh flavor with lots of coffee, some dried fruits and a tad sweet. Very drinkable
