Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
"A light coloured, moreish ale brewed with the finest Maris Otter Hops and Crystal Malts. A hint of torrified wheat is added producing a satisfying and complex flavour. A fresh dry aftertaste is supported by a fairly hoppy character."

Cask, november 07. Shinny golden color with a tight creamy white head. Malty, cereal grainy flavor with a nice, gentle, bitter aftertaste. Rich and refreshing. Some sulphur notes on the nose with a bit of biscuit. Nice, grainy, gentle golden bitter.

A bit disapointing. Aroma is caramel and floural hops. Taste is caramel, toffee, floural, lightly grassy, too sweet alround.

Some bitterness in it gave me the impression of a bitter instead an ale, but the quality is good. Very drinkable is.

Cask half-pint at NERAX 5/4/06. Brassy-yellow, dried pineapple colored body is bright, with a small, white head, moderately-well retained and lacing very lightly. Fresh fruity hops rise up from the glass (light nectarines, apricots) while nearly juicy pale malts and some light citrus on end combine to keep things snappy and rather dry. Very fruity flavor, with dry pale malts, light straw, dry wafers and golden raisins (very faint) to balance. Bubbly, crisp and with a strong yeasty, doughy and somehow earthy (more like baked clay) note. Didnt realize there was wheat in it, but assuming that just balances the sweet pale malts and fruitiness, it works well.
