Commercial Description:
Cask; Special.
"Grown wild on the banks of the River Forth, these plump, juicy and flavoursome Scottish Brambles are picked when fully ripe and added to the 4.2% abv Cask Conditioned Golden Ale. This gives the distinctive colour and flavour to Stirling Bramble Ale."

Cask, Alloa BF 07. Cloudy orange chestnut, thin off-white head. Nose is medicinal, ribena, sour berry. No beer in the nose. Mouth warming, sour berry, sweet cakey berries. Burning warmth at the back of the throat, excruciatingly sweet. Some maltiness towards the end. I’ll pass thanks.

Cask. Hazy amber colour with a thin white head. Malty, berry fruity aroma with a light hoppy note. Malty, sweet flavor with a sharp berry fruity note. Light dry and fruity finish.

This Bramble ale has a dark amber color, is hazy and has a weak head. The aroma is sourish and the flavour is both sourish and sweetish with clear notes of berries. But if it’s bramble berries, I cannot say for sure, It’s Ok, but a bit on the light side.
