Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular.
"Brewed in the heart of Scotland using the finest malts, pure Scottish water and wild oats. This traditional stout has a creamy, toasted oatmeal flavour and is gently hopped. Complex roast malt aromas and a smooth silky aftertaste are characteristics of this ale. This stout is as mysterious and compelling as the Glen it is named after."

Cask at The Hop Pole pubs Easter Beer Festival, Aylesbury in the company of Loz, Chris O, Ruth, Barry, Lynn 21-03-08 Good roasted smooth toasty bitterness to this. Pours black with tiny tan head smooth and easy drinking, bit earthy and some bitter chocolate. Good beer that could just have done with a little bit more going on to elevate it into very good beer territory.

Gravity, Banbury Beer Festival. Deep black, just a bit of brown highlights around the edges. Dark tan head. Treacle and Cheerio® aroma, a touch of old laundry. Soft muddy dark flavors, fairly sweet. Some substance to the palate, but dull and lifeless.

Cask@Loughborough Beer Festival 2007. Black beer with a light head. The aroma is lightly dandelion and burdock, and the flavour is weirdly floral with a dandelion and burdock finish. Overall a weird stout, I do not know what to make of it.
