COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask, Occasional;
A fabulously robust, full-bodied honey blonde beer with a clean, fresh flavour and a fruity aroma. At 7% it’s not for the faint of heart though; it’s the strongest beer in the TSA portfolio!

Tasted this in the Saltcot, Saltcoats (JDW) in June 2007. Cask handpump dispense. Pale red amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Strong aroma of vanilla pods present. Smooth and creamy texture in the mouthfeel. Good lacing. Mixed malts in the complex base give strong flavours of creamy vanilla, honey and soft caramel. Very slight hint of hops in the weak bitter aftertaste but this soon fades. Creamy vanilla notes still comes through into the velvet finish, along with powerful mead notes too. This strong ale is very easy to drink and is powerful as the ABV suggests.

On cask at the SRAF. Hazel beer poured with no head. Some caramel and malt but a whole lot of sugar on the nose! Far too sweet for me, tastes like white granulated sugar. Thin beer, not my favourite barley wine.

Standing Order. Infinate fruity ster hit you everyhere, everything from banana to tropical pineapple, banana and peasy syrupo, far to sweet and cloying.
