A Mes rate: Cask at some random JDW in Glasgow. Unattractive red amber colour with a crappy white head. Egg and sulphur nose with very slight raspberry. Flavour is that of a lifeless ale with some very faint unidentifyable fruit. Yes ok of course it’s raspberry but I would never have guessed if I didn’t know. Sticky palate, especially in the finish. Gotta love the Cask Marque assured quality beer at JDW...

Cask @ Crystal Palace, Glasgow. Soft beer with a fine berry flavour, sweet, while not cloyingly so. I rather liked this, but it was more interesting than great, perhaps. One glass is enough.

Cask conditioned at Merton Beer festival ’07. Pinkish brown with slight head. I do struggle with fruit beers, my wife loved this but I find them a little challenging. Yes, the Raspberries were very evident and fresh tasting and the Witbier background was also evident, but I cannot overcome my, probably prejudice against them.

STBF07. Aroma hits you with tart rasberry, excellent xactly what i want, then the rubbish beer cuts throguh it and distroys what could have been great. Taste is tart real rasberry juice, then again a terrible overly malty backing offends me. Could have been a great, but loses it due to the terrible beer base.

Edinburgh Beer festival 2007 ... Light orangy pink colour ... fruity fresh raspberry nose ... light fresh raspberry juice with a light touch of hop.
