Bottle (500ml) 4.8%. Curtsey from Luke from the Scottish Arms Bistro (Bowral); he mentioned picking up a couple of these last visit to Scotland and was more than happy to share one with me. Poured deep brown with a frothy, off-white head which was mostly lasting. Aroma was of roasted toffee malts and molasses with some creamy caramel, roasted nuts, dark mixed fruits, red berries and light notes of golden syrup. Flavor was of roasted toffee malts with a light hop bitterness, dried mixed fruits, roasted nuts, molasses and some caramelized dates. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, a dry/creamy mouthfeel and a good finish.

Cask@Battersea BF. Lightly acidic woody characters go down the middle of the tongue. Touches of dark fruit and chocolate throughout. Finish is acidic. Perhaps a touch light.
