shintriad (655), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 8, 2008 Caramel and lots of it in the nose, a bit of plastic and sour flavours at first, some burnt notes and licorice in the finish. I’d cross this bridge again.
Papsoe (9774), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 23, 2008 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear amber golden with a creamy, beige head. Unclean aroma of British malts and some overripe fruit. Medium body with roated malts, burned caramel and unclean fruit accents. Subdued bitterness. 160408 scotty (723), Scotland Jun 28, 2008 Good deep copper colour, no head tho! Seems to be a problem with the conditioning, its virtually flat (hence the lack of head!) and this does nothing to help the flavour which is harsh and unbalanced. Malt dominates but an unpleasant bitterness spoils the overall effect. Tesco, although I think its been discontinued. KimJohansen (2460), Copenhagen V, Denmark Apr 17, 2008 Cloudy deep amber with tiny white head. Sweet fruity and malty aroma with caramel notes. Sweet flavor with malty and caramel notes. Ends sweet. joergen (6148), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 17, 2008 Bottle.
