Caramel and lots of it in the nose, a bit of plastic and sour flavours at first, some burnt notes and licorice in the finish. I’d cross this bridge again.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of Ungstrup. Clear amber golden with a creamy, beige head. Unclean aroma of British malts and some overripe fruit. Medium body with roated malts, burned caramel and unclean fruit accents. Subdued bitterness. 160408

Good deep copper colour, no head tho! Seems to be a problem with the conditioning, its virtually flat (hence the lack of head!) and this does nothing to help the flavour which is harsh and unbalanced. Malt dominates but an unpleasant bitterness spoils the overall effect. Tesco, although I think its been discontinued.

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden amber with a lacing off-white head. Dried fruity and wineous aroma. Flavour is dry and light oxidised. Bitter and solid dry malty. Ends with a dry spiced and almost woody note.
