3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
250ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Huge frothy light brown head which disappears quickly, but with excellent lacing. Dark brown/reddish body, almost black. Aroma of malt, a little salty. The wine aroma is definitively present, almost lambic-ish. The alcohol warmth hits immediately in the mouth. Well balanced sour and slightly sweet taste. Long lasting aftertaste, but a 250ml bottle is enough.

3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20
250mL thanks to womencantsail and the Norwegian RB crew. Gigantic head, near gusher upon opening. Huge formation and mega lacing. Nose is quite funky, complete Brett infection, wet wood, cedar. Taste is boozy, lemon, harsh paper from the super attenuated body. Palate is chemical, abrasive. Really not so bad, though not what was intended.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
0.25l bottle #00882 from batch ?. Have to admit I have some anticipations to this bottle. It starts quite nice with a lovely looking pour with a medium sized light wood-brown head on top of a deep dark brown body. Oh, the aroma is woody, lots of red sour berries, oak, vanilla, something almost herbal. Thyme perhaps? And it smells like a twisted Grand Cru from Rodenbach. Lovely. It’s almost what I would call lively on the carbonation at first but it settles down to a normal level quite fast , and the mouthfeel is smooth and oily. Oh, this is definitely something out of the ordinary. Really vinous and has a barreled touch so present that you can taste it across he room. Lots of red ripe almost acidic fruits and gooseberries. There is something almost salty over this as well and it has a unique twang that I don’t know what to call to be honest. It’s just really hard to tear these flavors apart! I can however agree with my self that this is a really fine beer. Will definitely be having this again. Most likely quite regularly. At least for as long as it lasts... 22.03.2013

Mørk mahogni farge. Godt med skum som ligger. Lukter og smaker søtt. Smak sitter. Over medium med kullsyre. Lite bitter. Frisk i smak til og være en øl på 11.%. Likte denne veldig godt.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: NOV 3, 2013 Had one fresh bottle, and it was really good. Had 2 bottles after 8ish months, and this is the story of these:
Both gushers. Smell of sour berries, wet wood and red wine. Taste of vinegar, oak and sour red wine. Crazy carbonation.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
My 40th birthday beer, happy birthday to me! It pours a very dark brown body with a huge, somewhat creamy, very long-lived, light-brown head that reduces to a fully lasting layer, good lacing. Strong, sour and funky aroma with notes of red wine. The taste is moderate sweet with hints of bitterness in the powerful and alcoholic finish, also an omnipresent light sourness. The flavours are strong but not extremely complex or interesting, mostly funky brett notes with sour red wine and some tart berries in the back. I hardly get any notes that remind me of a traditional quad at all, the funk and sour red wine is totally dominating. The body is full and the texture is oily, the carbonation is moderate. I was really looking forward to this one, but I must admit I’m a bit disappointed. A good beer, but nothing more.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled. Many thanks to MisoW. Overall a damn sour beer. Sour in aroma, sour in taste. Reminds me a lot of a Belgian kriek with a lot of roasted malt or chocolate. Sour dark chocolate finish. Very drinkable and I like it.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Aroma peachy soury brett. Spontaneous fruits. Tempting. Very dark brown colour. Taste has nicely balanced sour brett with peach/apricot and general fruitiness, both sour and sweet. Light chocolate and roasted flavours mid-way through. Light alcohol in the finish. Really good and enjoyable.
