Bottle. Moderate grain and straw for the malt, moderate grass and lemon zest for the hops, moderate barnyard for the yeast, with hints of damp wood and coriander. Head is large, frothy turning rocky, white with wispy yet crusty lacing and is mostly lasting. Color is murky yellow/amber. Flavor starts moderately acidic, then finishes moderately acidic and moderately to heavily bitter. Palate on the lighter side of medium, watery with a lively carbonation and a very dry and lightly tart finish. A nice puckering Saison.

Pours a cloudy golden orange color with a massive three finger pillowy white head that slowly settles into a thick lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind. Dank, floral hop aroma with a good balance of earthy and citrus/tropical fruit notes along with some funky farmhouse yeast. Slightly grassy with resinous pine notes as well as grapefruit, pineapple and orange peel. The earthy hop component is nicely complimented by the Saison yeast that gives off hints of grass, straw and hay. I’m also picking up some bread and biscuit malt. Slightly oxidized with lots of tight carbonation which hurts the mouthfeel a bit. There’s a blast of dry, sticky hops up front which provide a prominent dry bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes and pale malt into a bone dry finish. The hop profile is too one dimensional for my liking with all dry, soily, earthy pine needle flavor. The sweet citrus/tropical fruit notes found in the nose are almost invisible with only subtle citrus rind and grapefruit. The farmhouse yeast also takes a back seat providing subtle funk that’s overshadowed by the hop bitterness. Some light estery fruit notes toward the finish as well as some bread, biscuit and caramel. An interesting concept but too aggressively hopped for my preference. Could use some more sweetness and farmhouse/Saison character for balance.

Pours pale amber with a small head. Nose shows abundant amounts of tropical fruit with passionfruit, pineapple, grapes, peaches, etc, etc, etc....... Underneath are big spicy notes and soft clean malt. Similar fruit as flavours, before transitioning to sweet light malt. After that things really dry out as the hops and spicy characters return for an aggressive finish. Carbonation seems a little full-on. Really captures both styles.

Fat på Bishop Savoy Malmö. Smak och doft av humle, malt, citrus, hö, gräs med toner av peppar. Torr, något sträv, lagom sötma, lätt fruktig, fin beska med smak av citrusskal.

A nice pseudo Saison style with a blend of tropical hops and peppery saison flavours. The pour is a cloudy, hazy golden yellow with a massive foamy white mess of a head. The nose is multi faceted with a pale ale esque tropical and fruity hop aroma and a traditional peppery and earthy saison backbone. Light toasted bready malts and honey sweetness are also noted in the aroma. The mid palate has a mild toasty bread malt with a hint of lemon zest and overly fruity notes. A mild bitterness pervades the flavour profile into the finish. Moderate spice flavours with pepper and coriander on the finish give a noted Saison style flavour. This beer has a very unique flavour and as an experimental beer this is a tasty blend of a pale ale and a saison.

On draft at Kraftwork. Pour light, clean gold with thick white head and ring lacing. Nose of sweet malts and hints of citrusy hops. Citrus comes though once tasted with some sweetness and good hop bitterness.

On tap at the Brige Road Brewery. Served a nice pale golden color with a good head that fades quite slowly to ample lacing. Aroma is a mix of citrus and pine with a nice funk. Spice and an interesting fruit mix in the background. Taste is a changing mix of citrus, pine, a mild malt sweetness with a bit of spice, fruit and a nice dose of funk. There is a nice bitterness with a slightly spicy finish. Medium body, with an original robust flair that makes this beer stand out. Not a typical saison as this one has a bit of an IPA personality without being overbearing. An ineresting and very enjoyable beer. Well worth checking out.
